"Seamless coastal synergy: collaboratively bridging national defense and coastal vigilance through accreditation of education and training."

Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) achieved another milestone. Through its School of Integrated Coastal and Maritime Security Studies (SICMSS) and the National Academy of Coastal Policing, Okha through a momentous MoA signing.

Prof. (Dr.) Bimal N. Patel, Vice-Chancellor of RRU, and Shri Sudhindra Kumar Singh IPS, DIG(P) of National Academy of Coastal Policing, Okha, engaged in insightful discussions covering various facets, the role of both premier academic institutions in the field of India’s coastal security. The mandate of both the institutions to strengthen the coastal security architecture through various initiatives, including accreditation of Certificate/Diploma/PG Diploma/ Advanced Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree/Master’s Degree according to the Joint Accreditation and Certification of Courses Guidelines of RRU. The signing of the MoU was witnessed by distinguished personalities including Cmdt. Manoj Bhatt Director, Accreditation and Affiliation and Shri Ram Kishan, BSF.

The signing ceremony at RRU was graced by the presence of SICMSS faculty and staff.

The MoU reflects the collaboration between RRU and the National Academy of Coastal Policing, Okha. This collaboration aims to assess and address the specific needs of accrediting, affiliation of various courses, developing modules and syllabus and providing robust training to all the marine police personnel of India. The partnership envisions a blend of online and offline activities encompassing policy, governance, intelligence, cyber, and other pertinent domains, benefitting personnel from both entities.

Furthermore, the MoU paves the way for Rashtriya Raksha University to explore, design and execute research projects in collaboration with NACP on contemporary coastal and maritime issues and challenges of India. This cooperative endeavor exemplifies a shared commitment towards advancing security and knowledge.
