Rashtriya Raksha University and the Department of Police of the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu Signed a MoU to Enhance Training and Research Capabilities.

Gandhinagar, Gujarat, Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) and the Department of Police of the Union Territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu (DPUT (DNHD&D)) have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen collaboration in the areas of training, research, extension, and education. This partnership aims to enhance the capabilities of the UT Police by leveraging RRU's TREE model.

Under the terms of the MoU, RRU will provide its expertise and resources to assist the Department of Police in meeting their specific requirements. The TREE model, which stands for Training, Research, Extension, and Education, will be utilized to address the evolving needs of the UT Police Force.

Training: The RRU will offer specialized training programs designed to enhance the skills and knowledge of police personnel. These programs will cover various aspects such as Law Enforcement Techniques, Crime Prevention Strategies, Forensic Science, Cybercrime Investigation, and Community Policing.

Research: The collaboration will promote joint research initiatives between RRU and the Department of Police. This research will focus on identifying emerging trends in crime, developing innovative solutions for law enforcement challenges, and conducting studies to improve policing practices.

Extension: RRU will extend its support to the Department of Police in implementing community outreach programs. These initiatives will foster stronger relationships between the police force and Local Communities, Promoting Trust, Cooperation, and Effective Crime Prevention.

Education: The MoU also emphasizes the importance of education in enhancing the capabilities of police personnel. RRU will collaborate with DPUT (DNHD&D) to develop specialized academic programs tailored to meet the specific needs of the UT Police Force. These programs may include Diploma Courses, Certificate Programmes, and Executive Education.

Speaking about the partnership, Prof. (Dr.) Bimal N. Patel, Vice Chancellor of RRU, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration. He stated, "We are delighted to join hands with the Department of Police of the Union Territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu. This MoU signifies our commitment to supporting law enforcement agencies in their pursuit of excellence. By leveraging our TREE model, we aim to equip the UT Police Force with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively tackle emerging challenges. Prof. Patel also talked about various aspects of Technology, drug-free India, and other security aspects of UT.

Shri Milind Dumbere, IPS, DIG (P) of DPUT (DNHD&D), also shared their thoughts on the collaboration. He said, "This partnership with Rashtriya Raksha University will greatly benefit our police force. The expertise and resources provided by RRU will enhance our training capabilities and enable us to stay ahead in an ever-evolving landscape of crime. We look forward to a fruitful collaboration that will contribute to the safety and security of our Union Territory."

The MoU between RRU and DPUT (DNHD&D) is a significant step towards strengthening the training and research capabilities of the UT Police Force. It reflects the commitment of both organisations to work together towards achieving excellence in law enforcement. The partnership envisions a blend of online and offline activities encompassing policy, governance, intelligence, cyber, and other pertinent domains, benefiting personnel from both entities.

Furthermore, the MoU paves the way for Rashtriya Raksha University to design and execute research projects in collaboration with DPUT (DNHD&D) on mutually agreed themes, areas, and topics. This cooperative endeavour exemplifies a shared commitment to advancing security and knowledge.

Shri Sushil Goswami, Registrar, and Shri Milind Dumbere, IPS, DIG (P) UT of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, have signed the MoU. Whereas, Prof. (Dr.) Kalpesh H. Wandra, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Dharmeshkuamr Prajapati, Asst. Registrar, Commandant Manoj Bhatt, Director, Tanvi Singh, University Dean (I/c), Shri Gursevak Singh, DANIPS Officer (DSP), Shri Sohil Jiwani (Inspector), and Shri Lloyd Anthony (Sub Inspector) were present during the MoU signing ceremony at RRU.
