As part of the Independence day Celebration three day long Photo Exhibition on the theme of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav,  Har Ghar Tiranga, Mera Maati Mera Desh and 9 years of Seva Sushasan and  Garib Kalyan got underway today  at Pranab Vidyapith Higher Secondary School Dimapur.  The Photo exhibition ,organised by the central Bureau of Communication Field office Kohima, is  displaying  the famous personalities and events of the freedom movement as well as recreating and bringing forth stories and photographs of forgotten heroes of India's freedom struggle and 9 years of Seva Sushasan and  Garib Kalyan. Addressing the inaugural programme as the Special Guest, Shri Manoj Bhatarcharjee, Principal PVHSS,  recalled the contribution of the stalwarts of India's freedom struggle and their heroic deeds. While reminding the gathering that there were  many unsung heros  from  every parts of the country  who had sacrificed for the nation,  Mr. Bhatarcharjee  said there also also many from the northeast who have immensely contributed towards the freedom.

A cultural programme of patriotic songs and Choreography, patriotic speeches and recitations were performed by the  students and teachers to mark the celebration.

 

 As part of the celebration, various competitions including quiz , extempore speech and painting were conducted whereby the winners of the various competitions were also felicitated during the programme.
