The Government of India has launched the Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan 2023 under the aegis of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav to encourage the citizenry to bring the “Tiranga” home and participate in this great campaign by hoisting the National Flag from their residences. The campaign is not only symbolic to the emotional connect of every Indian with the national flag but also is an embodiment of commitment towards nation building.

India Post, Maharashtra Circle is avidly participating in the campaign since it has been entrusted with the responsibility for making national flags available to citizens at a reasonable price of Rs. 25/-.  Under the leadership of Chief Postmaster General, Shri K. K. Sharma and Postmaster General, India Post, Mumbai Region, Shri Amitabh Singh, National Flags have been made available for sale at Post Offices across the state of Maharashtra, the city of Mumbai and suburbs.  The flags can also be purchased online at the website www.epostoffice.gov.in.  In order to create awareness about this patriotic initiative, India Post has made flags available even at the Housing Societies, Railway stations and schools.  Prabhat Pheris are also being arranged to create awareness among citizens.

Apart from this, various renowned personalities have shown enthusiasm and procured the National Flags for display at their homes. Officers of India Post have been distributing the National Flags in every nook and corner of Mumbai city and suburbs to promote the feeling of patriotism and celebrate the spirit of independence.
