Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation is celebrating Swachhta Pakhwada, 2023 during July 01, 2023 to July 15, 2023 under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. The main focus of this campaign is to encourage Jan Bhagidari & awarness about the cleanliness. Sub-regional office, Field Operations Division of NSSO, MoSPI located at Rajkot under the jurisdiction of Regional Office, Ahmedabad is also celebrating this Pakhwada by promoting cleanliness and plantation of trees. A special cleanliness drive was organised by the Sub-regional office, Rajkot on 2^nd July’2023 in the well-known Rashtriya Shala which is a famous learning centre commissioned by Mahatma Gandhi in 1921.The students of this Shala were sensitized about the hygienic practices and the premises of the campus was cleaned by the officials of the Sub-regional office in association with Rashtriya Shala on this occasion.

 

A bike rally was also undertaken to promote the same. Around 55 participants comprising officials of FOD and Rashtriya Shala along with students participated in the drive with full vigour and enthusiasm. Tree plantation was also be done in campus of Rashtriya Shala and in the office premises of the SRO, Rajkot by Shri T I Trivedi, Assistant Director and other officials of the SRO. Senior citizens who participated in the event and the cleaning staff were also given a token of appreciation. An awareness rally from Shala to SRO premises was organised by the office to create awareness about the cleanliness and encourage Jan Bhagidari among the public.
