Rashtriya Raksha University, located in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, awarded PhD degrees to two IT professors on June 27, 2023. The recipients, Mr. Jayandrath Mangrolia and Mr. Jatin Patel, conducted extensive research in computer vision, artificial intelligence, and information technology.

Mr. Jayandrath Mangrolia's research focused on "Detection and Classification of Suspicious Objects in Surveillance Video Using Machine Learning." He developed a robust algorithm that utilized novel feature descriptors and machine learning models to accurately detect weapons in challenging scenarios.

Mr. Jatin Patel explored the topic of "A Comprehensive Approach for Exposing Video Frame Forgery and Localization Through Passive Techniques." His research aimed to develop effective methods for automatically detecting various types of video forgery and accurately identifying forged frames within the original video. This work will contribute to enhancing digital video forensics and assisting in solving criminal cases, ultimately improving the country's security level.

The Vice Chancellor of Rashtriya Raksha University, Prof. (Dr.) Bimal N. Patel, expressed his commitment to supporting the scholars in translating their research into practical applications beneficial to investigators in India's internal security system. He also complimented the School of Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, and Cyber Security for their significant contributions in areas such as artificial intelligence, network engineering, GIS, and cyber security, which have addressed the requirements of India's security and police forces.
