Based on intelligence, two male Indian passengers, who arrived from Dubai via Bahrain in Flight no. GF 68 on 31.05.2023 were intercepted by the Air Custom Officers. On examination of their in person and baggage, 08 nos. of gold plates and 02 nos. of gold chains of 24K purity weighing 668 grams valued at Rs. 36.16 Lakhs were recovered and seized under the Customs Act, 1962.

In another instance one male Indian passenger, who arrived from Colombo in Flight no. 8D 833 on 31.05.2023 was intercepted by the Air Custom Officers. On examination of his baggage, assorted size of 05 nos. of Gold Rods and 05 nos. of Gold Ingots of 24K purity weighing 250 grams valued at Rs. 13.53 Lakhs were recovered and seized under the Customs Act, 1962.
