FUJIFILM India has partnered with Tata Memorial Center (TMC) for imparting training in OncoPulmonology and Interventional Pulmonology. Towards this, Fujifilm has donated equipment to TMC which will not only serve cancer patients but will also further training initiatives of the Institution.

Dr Rajendra Badwe, Director, Tata Memorial Centre said that this initiative would not only scale up existing training programs in basic bronchoscopy but also provide simulation-based training to observers from Asia Pacific region in interventional pulmonology. Additionally, this would introduce trainees to the field of Onco-Pulmonology and educate them on the synergistic role of the pulmonologist in an Oncology setup as part of a multidisciplinary oncology team.”

Dr Sandeep Tandon, Head, Pulmonary Medicine said, “We initiated the PULMO-TMC Upskill programs in 2021 to disseminate knowledge on Onco-Pulmonology and impart training in basic and advanced bronchoscopic procedures. This was bolstered by a donation of the Bronchoscopy and EBUS Simulator by the R G Manudhane Motivation for Excellence Trust. The partnership with Fujifilm will ensure a wider each of our training programs. It will enable observers to gain insight into Onco-Pulmonology and train in Interventional Pulmonology procedures through simulation based learning and observerships.”
