A camp on Self Compilation of Annual Survey of Industries (ASI) Returns was organised by National Statistical Office (NSO), Mumbai. The Camp was organised in the Auditorium of SEEPZ, Andheri East on 20th April 2023. Around 60 Officers from various Manufacturing units participated in the event. The Officers of NSO, Field Operations Division(FOD) led by Ms. Supriya Roy, Deputy Director General, spoke to the participants regarding the data that is required to be furnished in ASI through the web portal designed to facilitate the collection of data.
 The Annual Survey of Industries, is the principal source of Industrial Statistics in India and is being conducted annually under the Statutory provisions of the Collection of Statistics Act , 2008. Information collected is confidential and is used only for Statistical purposes to estimate the contribution of Manufacturing Sector to Gross Domestic Product and also to help Government in formulating policies and programs for Industrial development.
The Camp was aimed at enabling the Industrial Units to understand the importance and process of self-compilation of ASI 2021-22 Return.
