In the series of community outreach programme by BSF Meghalaya, a mega Medical Camp under Civic Action Programme was organized by 172 Bn BSF on 18 March 2023 at Holy Cross School, Umkiang, East Jaintia Hills. 18 Doctors from various institution including BSF gave free consultation to the large number of patient and distributed free Medicines. The Medical Camp was inaugurated by Dr. Jalaj Sinha, DIG (Med) Frontier HQ Meghalaya.

Besides organising medical camp, BSF also distributed computers for schools and GYM machinery for youths in the presence of Mr. Abhilash Barnwal, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, East Jaintia Hills District and Shri Sanjay Sharma, Commandant 172 Bn BSF.

BSF is holding such events towards its commitment to help needy people and strengthen the relation between BSF and Bordering population.
