This is a momentous occasion for Pondicherry University and the Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences (VUAS), Valmiera, Latvia to enter into an MoU to open academic avenues for the students, scholars, faculty members and administrative staff members of both universities to get benefitted from the international agreements. Both universities have signed MoU to support research, conferences, teaching governance, and extension activities jointly.  The MoU was signed by Prof Rajneesh Bhutani, Registrar (i/c), Pondicherry University, and Prof.

Agita Līviņa, Director of the Institute of Social, economic and humanities research at Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences (Via), chairperson of the UNESCO chair “Biosphere & Man” at ViA, professor at Faculty of Society and Science in Via, Valmiera, Latvia, in the presence of Prof Gurmeet Singh, Honourable Vice- Chancellor of Pondicherry University and other faculty members of the partner university. The Deans, Heads, Statutory Officers, the DDE Director (i/c), faculty members, research scholars, and students were present at the MoU signing ceremony.
