Coconut Development Board, in association with the International Coconut Community (ICC) is organizing a two-day International Conference on Trade and Marketing of Coconut Products on 27th and 28th February 2023 with the participation of stakeholders from across the globe. The Theme of the Conference is Global Coconut Industry – Cruising to the Pinnacle. The objective of the programme is sharing of perspectives of coconut industry and global players on market prospects, sustained development of the sector and dissemination of knowledge on the innovative industry practices and working towards securing the prospective opportunities of the sector. The venue of the Conference is at Le Meridien, Hyderabad, Telangana.

 

The programme is convened in hybrid mode with the participation of representatives from international organizations, policy makers, entrepreneurs, exporters and other stakeholders from industry. Physical participation of 120 stakeholders including national as well as international delegates is anticipated. Over 450 participants from around 30 countries are participating virtually.

 

As part of the Conference, four different sessions related to the theme will be handled by International (12) & Indian experts (7 nos) during the two days. Dr.Vijayalakskmi Nadendla, CEO, CDB will be coordinating the event on behalf of Govt. of India.

 

Officials from ICC including Dr. Jelfina C. Alouw, Executive Director, Mr. Bernie Ferrer Cruz, Administrator, Philippines who is also the National Liaison Officer of ICC will be physically attending the programme.

 

Dr. Julian Conway Mcgill, Head of South East Asia LMC International, Malaysia, Mr. Asep Jembar Mulyana, CEO, PT. TOM COCOCHA Indonesia, Mr. Suresh Silva, Chief Executive Officer, Silver mill Group of Companies, Sri Lanka are handling different sessions apart from other International Resource Speakers who will be virtually presenting their papers. Resource Speakers include experts from ITC, Ministry of Agriculture, Indonesia, Oil World etc. Indian Resource Speakers include Mr. Nagaraj Meda, CMD, Transgraph Consulting Pvt Ltd, Dr. P. Chandra Shekara, Director General, MANAGE, Dr. Ramesh Mittal, Director, CCS National Institute of Agricultural Marketing (CCS NIAM), Mr. R. R. Shrinivasan, Managing Director, APEX Coco and Solar Energy Ltd and Mr.Arun V, Head-Copra Buying, Marico Ltd.
