Youth 20 India Summit to be held with Climate Change as Focus
Gujarat CM to inaugurate the Conference at MS University Baroda

As part of India’s G20 Presidency, Youth 20 India Summit 2023 is being organized at the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda during 24-25 February. Organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India in coordination with Education Department of Government of Gujarat, this international conference will focus on Climate Change and Disaster Risk Reduction: Making Sustainability a Way of Life. Shri Bhupendra Patel, Chief Minister of Gujarat will be the chief guest at the inaugural function on 25th February and Shri Rushikesh Patel, Minister for Higher & Technical Education, Government of Gujarat and Shri Harsh Sanghavi, Minister of State of Home, Industries, Sports & Youth Service, Government of Gujarat would attend the event. Smt. Shubhangini Raje Gaekwad, Hon’ble Chancellor, The Maharaja Sayajirao University will also grace the occasion.
The conference will deliberate on various topics like Role of Youth and Opportunities in the field of climate change and disaster risk reduction; Research, Innovation and Start-up related to climate change; Best practices related to climate change and disaster risk reduction; Making sustainability a way of life. International experts like Dr.Tuomo Kauranne, President of Arbonaut OY Ltd, Finland, Anna Loboguerrero, Cloumbia, Bruce Campbell, Director, CGIAR Research Programme on Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Secutiry, Italy, Amgad Elmadhi, International Water and Natural Resources Management Specialist, Australia, Dr. Jincy Roy, CEO, Water and Sanitation Management Organisation will speak during the conference. Ms Archana Soreng, Member of UN Secretary General’s Youth Advisory Group on Climate Change will address the valedictory session.
As part of the conference, heritage walk and cultural events will also be organized for the delegates to showcase the rich diversity of India.
