The first G20 Finance Ministers' and Central Bank Governors (FMCBG) and the second Finance and Central Bank Deputies (FCBD) Meetings will take place in Bengaluru from 22nd  to  25th February, 2023.

Union Minister for Information & Broadcasting, Youth Affairs & Sports Shri Anurag Thakur will attend the inaugural session on the 22nd.  Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will deliver the Presidency address on the 25th.  The four-day summit  will have side-events on core themes the member countries put forward.Over five hundred delegates from 29 countries and 14 International organisations are expected to participate.

Meanwhile, a  high-level security co-ordination meeting was held in Bengaluru today in connection with  the G20 Presidency Working Group Meeting. The meeting   chaired by   Shri B.  Dayananda,  Director, State Intelligence, Karnataka, assessed different aspects of security arrangements for the  upcoming event.  Smt. Bhavna Saxena, Joint Secretary (Security), G-20 Secretariat, New Delhi  made a theme presentation. Shri Jitendra Raje, Director (Finance), Ministry of Finance  virtually interacted. Senior officers from Bengaluru City Police, CISF and others attended.
