To avail the benefit of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana,  bank accounts can be linked with Aadhaar through the Postal department. As per the instruction from Union Government,  farmers should link their bank accounts with Aadhaar before 15th February   to receive this month's instalment. A total of 3.8 lakh farmers in Kerala have to link their bank account  with Aadhaar. For this, the Department of Agriculture and the Department of Posts will arrange camps and facilities for opening accounts at Post offices and linking them with Aadhaar. Account can be opened and linked with Aadhaar in no time using mobile phone and bio metric scanner available at postman/post offices.
PM Kisan Samman Nidhi was started in 2018. 6,000 each to the farmers in three instalments per year. So far 12 installments have been distributed through the scheme.
