654 TRANSGENDER PERSONS BENEFITED FROM 12 GARIMA GREHS SETUP ON PILOT BASIS IN 9 STATES
MORE GARIMA GREHS TO BE SETUP AS PER GUIDELINES

Department has setup 12 Garima Greh Shelter Home for Transgender Persons on pilot basis in 9 States. In total, 654 transgender persons have benefited through Garima Greh project. State wise beneficiaries list is annexed.
Government aims to setup up more such Garima Grehs as per guidelines. This is a continuous process.
There is no such proposal under consideration of the Ministry as Garima Greh has been designed specifically for Transgender Persons.
