The Union Minister of State for Ports, Shipping and Waterways Shri Shantanu Thakur, today reviewed all Port Projects of Haldia Dock Complex of Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port (SMP), Kolkata. 

            The Union Minister also inaugurated a State- of-the -art Port Server Room and 11 KV/415 volt substation at Jawahar Tower of Haldia Dock Complex. 

            The Chairman, SMP, Kolkata, Shri P. L. Haranadh welcomed Shri Thakur at Jawahar Tower, Haldia Dock Complex. The Minister took stock of the infrastructure and upcoming projects which cater to Bangladesh, Coastal and North East States. He was apprised regarding the upcoming Projects at Haldia Dock Complex. 

 

            Shri Thakur also held a review meeting with Shri Haranadh, Shri A. K. Mehera, Deputy Chairman, Haldia Dock Complex and Heads of the Departments of Haldia Dock Complex. The Minister was briefed about the activities including ongoing Projects of Haldia Dock and Kolkata Dock. Shri Thakur appreciated the efforts of SMP, Kolkata, particularly the latest Development Projects.
