SAYS UPDATED NATIONAL CAREER SERVICE PORTAL CATERS TO MANPOWER NEEDS OF PRIVATE SECTOR AS WELL;

NCS PORTAL HAS PROVIDED OVER THREE CRORE JOBS  IN LAST EIGHT YEARS.

The Union Minister for Labour and Employment, Environment, Forest and Climate Change Shri Bhupendra Yadav has called upon youths to make the best use of growing job opportunities available in various fields. The Minister said that in unorganised sector also employment opportunities are on the rise today.

He was addressing after distributing appointment orders to the new recruits under the Rozgar Mela in Bengaluru today. In all, 217 appointees were given posting orders at a function held at the Subsidiary Training Centre of the Border Security Force, Yelahanka in the city. The appointment letters were given for posting in various Central Government departments, public sector undertakings, nationalised banks and paramilitary forces. These include Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, Aeronautical Development Authority, Railways, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, State Bank of India, Canara Bank, Border Security Force, Central Industrial Security Force and Employees' State Insurance Corporation.

The Minister informed that in the updated National Career Service  (NCS) portal, private firms are also registering to meet their manpower requirements.  In the last eight years, the portal has provided over three crore jobs. Shri Bhupendra Yadav lauded the motto of the BSF which, he said, had grown into a large guardian of the Nation over the years.

Earlier to this, the Prime Minister Shri  Narendra Modi virtually inaugurating  distribution of about 71 thousand appointment letters to newly inducted recruits  across the country was linked to the event. Last month, appointment letters were handed to over 75 thousand newly recruited appointees at Rozgar Mela.  The Prime Minister said that the Government is working on mission mode to give jobs to youths.  Physical copies of the appointment letters to the new appointees were handed at over at 45 locations across the country today. The Rozgar Mela, targeted to provide ten lakh jobs is a major initiative towards fulfilling the continuous commitment of the Government to create employment opportunities for the youth and ensuring welfare of citizens.

The Prime Minister also launched the Karmayogi Prarambh module. The module is an online orientation course for new appointees in various Government departments. It includes code of conduct for government servants, workplace ethics, integrity and human resource policies. The module provides the appointees an opportunity to explore other courses on igotkarmayogi.gov.in platform to enhance their knowledge, skills and competencies.
