“Awareness Gram Sabhas “ were conducted as part of Vigilance Awareness Week in Karnataka

As a part of Vigilance Awareness Week celebration, Office of Controller of Communication Accounts, DoT Karnataka in liaison with Government of Karnataka had organized awareness Gram Sabha initiatives in two Gram Sabhas of Doddaballapura taluk. Two Gram Panchayats at Kodigehalli and Kantanakunte were selected for creating awareness about evils of corruption. 

  

The event was attended by Gram Panchayat members, Sarpanch, MGNREGA workers, Self-help groups ,Anganwadi workers , ASHA workers and general public.  During the event, villagers were addressed on ways to tackle corruption as well as measures to be taken to report corrupt practices.  Further, villagers were also sensitized about how technology can be used in their day-to-day activities to make their lives better. Further awareness about cyber security and cyber hygiene was also discussed in the event .
