Activities undertaken during Special Swachhta Campaign 2.0 by Office of CCA,Karnataka , Department of Telecommunications

Office of Controller of Communication Accounts, Karnataka circle under Department of Telecommunications is committed to Swachhata as well as prompt and efficient handling of public grievances; scrap disposal and weeding out of old records.

Cleanliness related activities have been regularly carried out by this office and each Friday has been designated as a Swachhata day highlighting the importance of hygiene and cleanliness. A nodal officer for each week has been separately nominated for deep cleaning of office premises as well as office interiors. Tree pruning, cleaning of septic tanks had also been carried out.

Further, this office had received 234 requests/representations related to pension disbursal in the month of September-October 2022 and all of them been settled to the satisfaction of the pensioners .All superannuation cases have been settled and target of Zero pension pendency has been achieved by this office during this campaign. A dedicated pensioner lounge has been created to cater to the needs of pensioners along with washroom and drinking water facilities.

This office through constitution of condemnation committees had identified old dilapidated office furniture, obsolete electronic systems and peripherals for scrapping. A total of 4 lots including metal waste, LAN cables, wood waste and electronic waste were scrapped through MSTC.

This office had identified approximately 1122 old records for weeding out and the same has been disposed. Proper arrangement, e cataloguing and organisation of records have also been carried out in order to efficiently and effectively serve the general public.
