Rozgar Mela' shows the commitment of Centre towards youth,citizen welfare : Union Minister V Muraleedhran

Union Minister of State for External Affairs & Parliamentary Affairs Shri. V Muraleedharan said that Rozgar Mela' shows the commitment of Central Government towards providing job opportunities for the youth and ensuring citizen welfare. He was addressing the 'Rozgar Mela' function organized by Southern Railway at Thiruvananthapuram. He said that Union Government has made the recruitment process faster with the use of the latest technology. This initiative is part of the Centre's efforts to make India a developed nation by 2047 while ensuring the participation of the youth, he said.
Shri V Muraleedhraran said that more than 1.5 lakh people got benefitted under Skill India in Kerala in the last three years. He said that Centre has taken various steps in railway modernisation and railway development. He also said that due to the efforts of Central Government, the number of startups has increased to more than 75,000 in the last 8 years.
The minister witnessed the live webcast of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi launching Rozgar Mela, the recruitment drive for 10 lakh personnel. Appointment letters were handed over to 75,000 newly inducted appointees across 38 Ministries/Departments of the Government of India during the ceremony at various locations.

Shri R Mukund, Divisional Railway Manager presided over the event. S N Karuppannaswamy, Chief Railway Personnel Officer and R Raghuraman, Additional Divisional Railway Manager were present. Senior Divisional Personnel Officer Lipin Raj M P delivered the welcome address. Assistant Personnel Officer, Shri Rahul Anil proposed the vote of thanks.
