'PM Kisan  Samman  Nidhi'  Scheme  was launched  in 2018  to provide  financial  assistance  of Rs.6000/-  per annum  to farmers  across the country.  This  financial  assistance  is directly  credited  to the farmer's bank account  in three installments  of Rs.2000.

Farmers  benefiting  under the Central  Government's   'PM Kisan  Samman  Nidhi' scheme  have to submit their e-KYC  (Aadhaar  OTP Based authentication)   in the PMKISAN  website or PM KISAN app.

The  mobile   number   linked  to Aadhaar  can  be  updated   by  approaching   the  nearest  Post Offices/Postman   at their  doorsteps.  A fee of Rs.50/-  is charged  for  this  service.  After  linking  the mobile  number  with  Aadhaar,  the  farmers  can complete  their  e-KYC  process  on the  PM  KISAN website (https://pmkisan.gov.in/aadharekyc.aspx)  or  PM  KISAN   app  using  the  OTP  (One  Time Password)  authentication   sent to the mobile  number  linked  to Aadhaar.  This will facilitate  receiving of the financial  assistance  in their bank account.

PM  Kisan   beneficiaries    are  therefore   requested   to  utilize   the  services   of  IPPB  under Department  of Posts to linkJupdate the mobile numbers with Aadhaar  to submit e-KYC. Chennai City Region  has carried  out  around  15000 Aadhaar  mobile  updations   from  August,2022   for PM Kisan beneficiaries, according to a press release issued by IG.Natarajan, Post Master General, Chennai City Region.
