With a view to clear the extra rush of passengers during the Chhath Festival, South Eastern Railway (SER) has decided to run a pair of Special Train between Shalimar-Barhni-Shalimar leaving Shalimar o­n October 27, 2022 and leaving Barhni o­n October 29, 2022.

The 08117 Shalimar-Barhni Special will leave Shalimar at 7.55 pm o­n October 27, 2022 and will reach Barhni at 10.00 pm at night, the next day. In the return direction, the 08118 Barhni-Shalimar Special will depart Barhni on October 29, 2022 at 08.00 am and will reach Shalimar at 10.00 am, the next day.

The train with two AC 2 Tier, two AC 3 Tier, 12 Sleeper Class and two General Second Class coaches will have stoppages at Santragachi, Kharagpur, Tatanagar, Purulia, Bhojudih and Mohuda stations in the SER jurisdiction.
