Indian Information Service Officer Trainees of 2020 & 2021 batches, accompanied by ADG PIB, Director CBC & Deputy Director PIB Chennai called on Hon'ble Governor of Tamil Nadu Shri RN Ravi at Raj Bhavan, Chennai today.

Hon'ble Governor welcomed them to Tamil Nadu with an overview of the demographics, high level of human & industrial development of the state.

He shared various anecdotes from his rich & vast experience in national security, as interlocutor for Naga peace talks and other roles.

Highlighting the importance of communication and the Indian Information Service, the Governor advised the Officer Trainees to look at problems holistically and develop communication strategies after comprehensive understanding of government policies. He advised them to be technologically updated, and work on developing narratives that can be easily understood and absorbed by the common man.

At a personal level, the Governor encouraged the Officer Trainees to be curious, be intellectually & spiritually awakened and also to explore & understand this country well - it's people, diversity and ethos - which they have set out to achieve in the ongoing Bharat Darshan.
