Gandhi Jayanti celebrations  organized at Bapu Bhavan, Pune

Pune - 2 October 22

National Institute of Naturopathy (NIN), Pune is an autonomous organization under the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, known as "Bapu Bhawan" at Matoshree Ramabai Ambedkar Road (Tadiwala Road), Pune.  Gandhi Jayanti celebrations were organized on 02 October 2022 in collaboration with Department of Posts Maharashtra-Goa Region, Ministry of Communications, Government of India. Various postage stamps on the life of Mahatma Gandhi were displayed in collaboration with the Department of Posts. This exhibition will be operational from 02 October to 04 October from 10.00 am to 06.00 pm.  The function was Inaugurated by Garlanding the Gandhi Statue. Chief Guest Shri Ganesh Savaleshwarkar, Postmaster General, Pune Region inaugurated the function, on this occasion Mr. Abhay Narayan Tripathi, Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Government of Maharashtra (Retd.), Ms. Simran Kaur (IPOS), Director Postal Services, Pune Zone, Dr. Hema Yadav, Director, Vaikunth Mehta National Institute of Co-Operative Management, Ministry of Cooperation, Government of India, Shri Rajendra Shah, Vice President, International Rare Collecting Society, Prof. R.K. Mutatkar, Senior Anthropologist and Gandhian and Dr. Vitthal S. Bandal, Principal, Government Polytechnic, Pune were present on the occasion.

Institute Director Prof. (Dr) K. Satya Lakshmi welcomed the chief guests with a basket of fruits and a shawl. In her welcome address, Prof. (Dr) K. Satya Lakshmi talked about the association of Gandhi with the National Institute of Naturopathy and she said that Mahatma Gandhi himself used to stay in this institution and treat people and conducted experiments on Naturopathy. She apprised everyone about the various activities related to treatment and facilities going on in the institution.

Chief Guest Shri Ganesh Savaleshwarkar, Postmaster General, Pune Region, in his statement said that as we are getting away from the nature, we are getting sick and disease prone. We should return back to nature as much as we take from nature.

The other guests were also expressed their views on Gandhi and his principles of life, not only the country of India but also the life and human welfare of the whole earth.

The winners were announced and certificates were awarded in the presence of dignitaries and guests. After that, Ozone Therapy Women's Unit was inaugurated and Khadi Fashion Show was organized by the students of the institute.
