As a part of Swachhata Pakhwada, the Southern Regional Office, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India in co-ordination With Puducherry Tourism Development Corporation, Hotel Management Institute & Stakeholders organized an “Awareness and Cleaning Campaign” at, Arikamedu Archaeological Site of India on 22nd September 2022 @ 6.00 AM.

 

Around 75 participants had undertaken the pledge for Swachhata Pakhwada, to ensure a Cleaner and Greener environment. The cleaning activities were carried in and around at Arikamedu Archaeological Site of India from 6.00 AM to 9.00 AM.

 

The collected garbages were handed over to the Swachh Bharat Mission local Panchayat to recycle and dispose it as per the guidelines.

 

The participants were handed over with Certificates. For spreading awareness among public, the placards with slogans on banning of Single Use Plastics / standees and Banners were displayed.
