As part of the celebration of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, felicitation and interaction with Gallantry Award winners (both serving and retired) was organized at Air Force Station Pune on 12 Aug 22. Air Chief Marshal PV Naik (Retd) was the chief guest for the event.

The programme started at 1000h with wreath laying ceremony at Station War Memorial. A cultural show by air warriors and families was organized at Station Auditorium, which was followed by screening of a documentary film on the bravery and valour of some gallantry award winners, which motivated personnel and families towards serving in the Armed Forces. The gallantry award winners were felicitated by the Air Chief Marshal PV Naik (Retd). The awardees shared their personal experiences in battle and anecdotes which inspired the audience present at the ceremony.
