Union Minister of state for Road Transport and Highways and Civil Aviation General Dr. V. K. Singh (Retd) has advised the young students to keep their aim high with the will, vision and positive attitude to become leaders in various fields.

While delivering the Convocation Address at Maharashtra Institute of Technology (MIT) School of Government in Pune today, Dr Singh touched upon important aspects for aspirant leaders. He said, Politics is mix of good and bad things but one has to decide what role he has to play. Use of money in the politics makes you stuck into the viscous circle which is hard to break, he explained.

Citing the example of Armed forces he said they work in unity keeping in mind service is the religion. There is no division on the basis of religion or caste in the forces. That is the reason people in the county have confidence in them. Democracy will not survive if there are economic and social differences. He advised the young aspirants to work out the path which will bring the equality in the society. There is need to take the nation forward, and work on developmental issues, he added.

He said we have a glorious history however unfortunately, even after independence; the rulers continued the same policy of the British.  But now under the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership the outlook on politics has changed. There is focus on upliftment of the marginal section of the society and development.

Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati , Governor of Mizoram, Shri Gajanan Kirtikar , MP, Prof Dr. Vishwanth D. Karad , Founder and Chief Patron ,MAEER’s MIT, Dr. Rahul Karad Managing Trustee and Executive President and other dignitaries were present on the occasion . Total 56 students of Masters in  Political leadership and Government course batch 14 & 15 received their degrees at the event.
