Subsidy paid to consumers by the OMCs under PAHAL scheme of Ujjwala Yojana
During the year 2020-21, Government of India reimbursed an amount of Rs. 23666 crore to OMCs as subsidy

The Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Shri Rameswar Teli in a written reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha today informed that the State/UT wise details of Pradhan Mantri UjjwalaYojana (PMUY) beneficiaries who have taken one, two, three or more refills in the years 2020-21 and 2021-22 (April, 2021 – February, 2022) are at Annexure.
Under PAHAL Scheme, the subsidy, as admissible, is paid to consumers by Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) and the same is reimbursed by Government to OMCs. During the year 2020-21 Government of India has reimbursed an amount of Rs. 23666 crore to OMCs as subsidy.
