Keeping in view the need to improve awareness about COVID protocols and the need for vaccination, Field Outreach Bureau, Hisar under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Govt. of India has organized a Mobile Awareness Campaign on COVID-19 Vaccination & COVID appropriate behaviour from 04 February, 2022 in District Palwal, Haryana.

A mobile vehicle mounted with the messages on free COVID-19 vaccination and COVID appropriate behaviour was flagged off by Deputy Commissioner Palwal, Mr. Krishan Kumar in the presence of Additional Director General, PIB Chandigarh Mr Rajinder Chaudhry. The vehicle will cover different sectors, colonies and rural areas of Distt. Palwal during 3 days. 

 

A vaccination camp and a Cancer Detection camp was also organised at Sarasvati Mahavidyalaya, Palwal. Theme-based cultural program/ Nukkad Natak was presented by the artists to spread the message regarding COVID awareness and need for vaccination. The focus has been kept on vaccination of the 15-18 yrs. age group.

Speaking on the occasion, ADG – PIB, Mr Rajinder Chaudhry highlighted the effectiveness of vaccination in reducing the mortality rate. He stressed on the need to go ‘Back to the Basics’ in terms of our Food Habits, Practice of Yoga, Love for nature etc. so that a good healthy lifestyle could be managed.

 

The Cancer Awareness Day was also celebrated as part of the function. CMO, Dr Brahm Dutt talked about the need for an early detection of the Cancer for its effective treatment. A cancer Detection Camp was also organised by the District Administration on this occasion.
