India Post has been serving the nation since the last 167 years, standing unabated in its dedication and undying passion of rendering postal, financial and government services, in the remotest corners of the country. It takes various initiatives so that people are served properly.

North Kolkata Postal Division has launched Mobile Parcel Booking Van which was flagged off by Smt J. Charukesi, Chief Postmaster General , West Bengal circle on 25th January, 2022 from Yogayog Bhawan, Kolkata. Sri Niraj Kumar , Postmaster General, Kolkata Region was present in the occasion . India post took this initiative as a part of celebration of 73rd Republic Day. Smt  Charukesi gave the first booking  receipt  to the concerned customer. This parcel van will visit Central Kolkata and North Kolkata for booking of parcels at doorstep and processing on the same date.
