AWARENESS PROGRAMME ON COVID VACCINATION, 75 YEARS OF INDIA INDEPENDENCE, SWACHH BHARAT IN DEVARAYANERI VILLAGE TIRUVERUMBUR BY FOB TIRUCHIRAPALLI

Field Outreach Bureau Tiruchirapalli under Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting organised integrated communication outreach programme on Covid vaccination, 75 years of India Independence, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Soil health Card Digital transaction Mission Indradhanush vaccination in Devarayaneri village Tiruverumbur Block in Tiruchirapalli district on Friday.

Shri K Devi Padmanabhan Field Publicity Officer Tiruchirapalli in his introductory address said that Prime Minister Shri NarendraModi has announced that covid vaccination will be administered for children aged 15 to 18 from January 3 in addition to all adults. He said that covid vaccination is the best way to prevent spread of pandemic and people should wear face masks while going out. More than 145crore doses of covid vaccines have been administered till now. He said that Swachh Bharat Abhiyan started on Mahatma Gandhiji birthday 2nd October in 2014 is crucial in preventing disease by avoiding outside defecation.  He urged people not to use plastics as it affects environment badly. He pointed out that cloth bags are being distributed to avoid one time use plastic bags which are hazardous. India is one of the largest democracy and celebrating 75 years of Independence which is the time to remember sacrifices of unsung heroes who fought for country’s freedom.

 

TirunedunkulamPanchayat president SmtSrinidhiSathishkumar in her presidential address said that everybody should take covid vaccine. She urged people to help keep the village clean and asked them not to throw garbage in public places.

Deputy Director Health Leprosy TrichyDr A Santhi in her special address said that the special outreach programme is based on health and urged people to take two covid vaccines. She asked people to visit PHCs if they are having any symptoms of Leprosy as it is curable.

Deputy Director Health TB TrichyDr S Savithri in her special address said that all treatment facilities are provided in primary health centres. She said that more than 2000 people are getting treatment for TB in Trichy district and proper treatment is given for the disease.

TiruverumburPanchayat union councillor SmtSubadhraSubramani asked people to take covid vaccine.

Dr R Sukumaran BMO in his special address said that everybody should take two covid doses of covid vaccines to control the spread of pandemic. He urged people to wear face masks in public places. He said that people with drug or skin allergy should consult doctor before taking vaccine.

Tiruverumbur BDO Shri S Joseph Kennedy in his special address said that everybody should take covid vaccine. He said that houses are constructed under PM Awasyojana in Tirunedungulampanchayat and MGNREGA has become backbone od rural economy. Tiruverumbur BDO Smt R LalithaSBM coordinator Shri S Sakthivel, Dy BDO Shri Muthukaruppanattended the programme.

Shri K Ravindran Field Publicity Assistant FOB Tiruchirapalli in his welcome address said that the integrated awareness programme is organised by Field Outreach Bureau Tiruchirapalli in coordination with TiruverumburPanchayat Union, NavalpattuPrimary health centre and Abdul Kalam youth welfare club Devarayaneri..

Shri D S Saravanan Youth leader, Dr Abdul Kalam youth welfare club devarayaneri rendered vote of thanks and coordinated the programme.Tuymaikavalars were honoured in the outreach programme. Swachtha cleaning activity was organised in the village. Prizes were also given in the programme. Cloth bags were distributed to create awareness about avoiding plastic usage. Cleanliness avtivity was held at Tirunedungulam and Devarayaneri villages.  Health department organised special exhibition on Leprose and Tuberculosis treatment.
