Chennai Air Customs has seized three postal parcels, one parcel containing 53 MDMA tablets and other two parcels containing 815 grams of Ganja, at Foreign Post Office, Chennai.

The first parcel arrived from Netherland and was addressed to a Chennai based person. On opening the parcel, 53 blue colour tablets suspected to be MDMA (21grams) was found.

3.       In another case, two parcels arrived from USA and was addressed to Vijaywada, and Chennai based persons. On examination, 815 grams of Ganja was found concealed inside two parcels.

4.       Totally, 53 blue colour tablets of MDMA and 815 grams of Ganja, totally valued at Rs 2.67 lakhs were seized from three postal parcels under provisions of NDPS Act, 1985, read with the Customs Act, 1962.

 Further investigation is in progress, according to a press release issued by Principal Commissioner of Customs, Chennai Airport Commissionerate.
