E-book on completion of 40 years of Regional News Unit of Aurangabad

“There is a need to reignite the flame of patriotism in the youth of a country which is blessed with different states and diversity.” Union Minister of State for Finance Dr. Bhagwat Karad said this while he was speaking at an event at All India Radio Aurangabad's Regional News Unit. He inaugurated the lecture series of AIR on Independence Day Diamond Jubilee Celebration - "Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav". Under this initiative, the Regional News Unit of AIR Will broadcast the features based on the Indian independence struggle. This series will be broadcasted twice a week from September 3. AIR Aurangabad will broadcast 100 episode series every Tuesday and Friday at 06 35 PM on various topics.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Karad said that many sacrificed their lives for independence and we cannot afford to forget their supreme sacrifices. Dr. Karad expressed the need of valuing their contribution during our journey of development and progress. He expressed confidence in the progress of the country and said that India will soon become Global superpower. Mentioning the steps taken in counterterrorism by the Union government, Dr. Karad said that India achieved remarkable success in anti-terrorism operations during the last few years.

Member of Parliament from Aurangabad Shri. Imtiaz Jaleel was the Guest of Honour. He said that being a country of various religions, languages, caste, and creed, India is truly a diverse country and a perfect example of 'Unity in diversity. Shri Jaleel also said that the inclusion of Dr Karad in the union cabinet is a feather in the cap for Aurangabad city.

Meanwhile Dr. Karad and Mr. Jaleel also launched an E-book on completion of 40 years of Regional News Unit of Aurangabad. The E-book comprises of memories and experiences of Editors, News Readers and listeners and those who have contributed to the evolutionary journey of the Regional News Unit in the past 40 years.

Station Director Jayant Kagalkar presented the foreward at the beginning while Ramesh Jaibhaye, Asst. Director (News) presented the theme of the upcoming lecture series. Legendary News readers from the station including Avinash Paigude, Muqim Khan, and Laxman Pawar also attended the ceremony. News readers Aparna Adhyapak and Rajshree Pohekar anchored the event while Programme executive Namrata Phalke concluded the gathering with the vote of thanks.
