Screening of documentary films that underline the inseparable relationship between nature and human beings will mark the World Nature Conservation Day on 28 July 2021 by Films Division. The films will be streamed on Films Division website and YouTube Channel, https://www.youtube.com/FilmsDivision

Films to be Screened:

Actualities from Wilderness (23 Mins/ 2018/ Mukesh Sharma), a film which   appeals to the public to save forests and wild animals to maintain a balanced ecosystem. It also highlights the new techniques and schemes of nature conservation with the  pro-active support of people who live close to the forests,  including  the  tribals. 

The Wild Paradise (27 Mins/ 2012/ Syed Nassif Ahmed) is an inspirational film on Manas National Park, a UNESCO Natural World Heritage site. Located in the Himalayan foothills in Assam, the  Park  has proved that change of  role of humans   from predators to  committed and protective individuals reaps rich dividends. The film is a heartwarming story of how  major challenges like poachery and  smuggling can be addressed, while simultaneously ensuring  rehabilitation and employment generation of the locals and the forest dwellers.

My Son Neo (15 Mins/ 2021/ S. Shanmuganathan) is a  parenting success story of a young couple. This film illustrates how the young parents allow a five year old boy, Neo to grow up amidst natural environment, loving all living beings and thus setting an example for others.
