Based on information, Chennai Air Customs detained one unregistered postal parcels suspected to contain some narcotics substance, which arrived from Netherland at Foreign Post Office, Chennai.

The parcel was addressed to a Kanyakumari based person. On cut opening, one transparent polythene packet containing pink colour tablets suspected to be MDMA was found inside. Total 95 MDMA tablets valued at Rs. 4.75 lakhs were recovered and seized under NDPS Act, 1985.

Further investigation is in progress, according to a press release issued by the Commissioner of Customs, Chennai International Airport.
