West Bengal Postal Circle achieved Service Quality Management Systems (SQMS) Certification Licence as per IS:15700 :2005, informed Shri Mervin Alexander, Chief Postmaster General, West Bengal Circle. The scope of the licence includes Mails Services, Financial Services,
Counter Services and Philately.

IS:15700:2005 is a widely recognized service quality management standard. This standard and certification was selected specifically to validate West Bengal Postal Circle’s ability to exceed the quality expectations and requirements of our customers, he said. Shri Alexander stated that the Offices underwent an extensive office-wise audit that included service quality management system development, a management system documentation review, internal audit & clearance of non-conformances.
