74th Independence Day Celebration at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy, Hyderabad

The 74th Independence Day of our country was celebrated in the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy, Hyderabad, with great fanfare and enthusiasm. Shri Atul Karwal, Director, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy unfurled the tri-colour.

The Director, in his speech said that we remember the sacrifices made by the freedom fighters in the small and large battles that they waged to win this independence. He reminded the Officer Trainees that the service has a rich legacy that we all can be proud of. The Officer Trainees were told that they have a role to play in fulfilling the vision of thousands of martyred freedom fighters and police personnel. They will have to face many challenges when they confront issues faced by the country and try to ensure that under their watch constitutional norms prevail. The Officer Trainees must conduct themselves with courage, dignity and integrity to serve with their head held high.

The Independence Day celebration was attended by 121 IPS Probationers of 71 Regular Recruits (RR) and 10 IPS Probationers of 70 RR, including 28 lady IPS Probationers undergoing their Phase-II training at the Academy
