Eastern Railway (ER) is continuously striving to stand beside the poor & destitute persons and arranging meals for starving people following the nation-wide lock down due to the outbreak of COVID-19. Food distribution is done by ER’s Railway Protection Force (RPF) regularly. The food is prepared by RPF/ NGO & IRCTC and the same is distributed every day by the RPF personnel all over the jurisdiction of ER.

 

 

Today ER’s RPF distributed cooked food (lunch) among 1916 persons at different locations in and around Kolkata like Fairlie Place, Howrah, Sealdah, Bidhannagar, Park Circus, Budge Budge etc. and also in faraway places like Ranaghat, Berhampore, Shrirampur,  Tarakeswar, Asansol etc.  

Besides, dinner for 327 persons is also prepared on date and the same distributed among the poor people by RPF personnel at various places. 

    Everywhere social distancing and all other hygienic stipulations are maintained.
