Maintain Personal Hygiene and Keep away from rumours: PM appeals on the backdrop of Corona

“People should avoid unnecessary gatherings, they should wash hands repeatedly, should avoid repeatedly touching mouth and face. They should maintain personal hygiene and visit doctors if they are facing any illnesses”, this was appealed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi as precautions during spread of corona, he was interacting with people all over the country on the occasion of Jan Aushadhi Diwas.

“There are 6000 Jan Aushadhi Kendras which are catering to the masses and 1 crore people are benefitting from it every month. The medicines are 50-90 percent cheaper in these kendras. Cancer medicines which normally cost 6500 rupees cost just 850 rupees in these Kendras. Which is leading to 2500 crore worth of savings of people”, Prime Minister said.

Anubhav Mahanta from Assam also spoke with Prime Minister and shared his wonderful experience of these Kendras.

Zeba Khan a resident of Pune and beneficiary of these Kendras spoke with PM and narrated her experience. She explained how her earlier expenditure of 2500 rupees has now come down to only 800 rupees leading to considerable savings in her monthy income.

“We are making 4 pronged efforts to keep people healthy.  We are saving people from various illnesses. We are providing them cheap treatment. We are making available best and modern treatment and lastly we are also making medicines available cheaply at Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi Pariyojana. ” Prime Minister said.

Ghulam Nabi Dhar from Pulwama and Deepa fromTamil also spoke on this occasion.
