Khelo India Youth Games aims to promote sporting culture in country : Kiren Rijiju

Khelo India Youth Games aims to promote sporting culture in the country said Union Minister of State for Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Shri Kiren Rijiju while addressing the closing ceremony of 3rd Khelo India 2020 at Guwahati. He further added that such type of sporting events help us in identifying young talents.

 Speaking on the occasion, Assam Chief Minister Shri Sarbananda Sonowal said that players are now our hero and role model and our main target is to win more medals at Olympics. Sonowal further said that through sports, we can show the world our strength and power.

Union Minister of State for Food Processing Industries, Shri Rameswar Teli highlighted the importance of sports in our life and said that Khelo India like events promote our local talent for global events.

Various cultural programmes were organised in the closing ceremony.

Maharashtra was the Champion of the 3rd Khelo India Youth Games, 2020 with the highest tally of medals. Haryana was declared the 1st runner up and Delhi was the second runner up at the sporting event.
