The Nation will be proudly celebrating its 69TH Republic Day on 26TH Jan 2018. A scintillating flypast and air display by various aircraft will be the hallmark of the Republic Day Parade at Rajpath.  Rehearsals for the Flypast and Air display will commence from 18th Jan 2018 (Thursday).  The general area over which aircraft will be flying at low levels are Charkhi Dadri-Jhajjar-Yamuna River.

BIRDS POSE A VERY SERIOUS THREAT TO FLYING AIR CRAFT, ESPECIALLY AT LOW LEVELS.  EATABLES THROWN OUT IN THE OPEN ATTRACT BIRDS.  TO ENSURE SAFETY OF THE AIRCRAFT, PILOTS AND PEOPLE ON GROUND, THE INDIAN AIR FORCE REQUESTS ALL CITIZENS OF DELHI, GHAZIABAD, CHARKHI DADRI, JHAJJAR AND ITS NEIGHBOURHOOD NOT TO THROW EATABLES AND GARBAGE IN OPEN. ALSO, IF THEY FIND ANY CARCASSES/DEAD ANIMALS LYING OUT IN OPEN, THEY MUST REPORT TO THE NEAREST AIR FORCE UNIT/POLICE STATION TO ARRANGE FOR ITS DISPOSAL. ALSO PLEASE CALL OFFICER INCHARGE BIRD HAZARD COMBAT TEAM (BHCT), AIR FORCE STATION PALAM ON NUMBER “1932”, EXTN 7348.

The flypast will commence with showering of flower petals consisting Mi-17 V5 helicopters at 1005.00 hours on 18 Jan, 20 Jan, 21 Jan, 23 Jan and 26 Jan 2018.
