Road-widening projects in NER

The Government has planned road-widening projects in the North Eastern States of Meghalaya, Manipur and Mizoram. These roads are meant for improving the connectivity of the North Eastern States with the South-East Asian countries, and the socio-economic condition of the region. The roads in Meghalaya are to enhance the connectivity with Bangladesh through Dawki and Dalu and also to facilitate connectivity to Border Haats located on the south west Khasi Hills and South Garo Hill districts of the state.
