Foreign Tourists visiting India during Peak and Non-Peak Seasons

The Ministry of Tourism, as part of its on-going activities, regularly releases print, electronic, online and outdoor media campaigns in the international markets, under the “Incredible India” brand-line, to promote various tourism destinations and products of India with the objective of increasing foreign tourist arrivals to the country. These promotional activities are being undertaken by the 14 India Tourism Offices based in New York, Los Angeles, Toronto, London, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Paris, Milan, Dubai, Johannesburg, Sydney, Beijing, Singapore and Tokyo.

Besides the promotional activities, the Government has taken various other initiatives to boost tourism in the country, which inter-alia include:

  • Extended the facility of e- Visa for the citizens of 163 countries.
  • Launched 24x7 Toll Free Multi-Lingual Tourist Helpline 1800111363 in 12 Languages.
  • Constituted Medical & Wellness Tourism Promotion Board.

Provided Central Financial Assistance (CFA) to State Governments/Union Territory Administrations for development and promotion of tourism.
