All existing Post Office Savings Bank (POSB) Accounts have to be linked with the respective Aadhaar number before 31^st December 2017. Department of Posts has informed that as per the order from Government of India, those accounts which are not linked with Aadhaar before this date will be blocked for use.

The account holder need to fill the consent form for Aadhaar linking and submit the same at the nearest Post Office.
