Under the ongoing Swachhta Hi Sewa” campaign, employees of Department of Personnel and Training (DoP&T), Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions today carried out Tree Plantation at Vinay Marg, Civil Services Sports Board playground alongwith officers/officials of NDMC. Nearly 80 persons participated in the campaign and around 100 trees of different varieties were planted. 

Besides, a cleanness drive was also undertaken in the premises and five bags of waste material were collected for appropriate disposal. Shri Kulbhushan Malhotra, Secretary, Sports Board, Shri Mukul Ratra, Joint Secretary (DoPT), Smt. K. Kipgen, Joint Secretary (DoPT) and other officials participated in the campaign and performed ‘Shramdaan’. T-shirts and caps having ‘Swachhta Hi Sewa’ logo were also distributed to develop the spirit of Swachhta among employees. 

Smt. K. Kipgen, Joint Secretary while addressing the gathering after Shramdaan emphasised the need to maintain hygiene and cleanliness around us and requested all not to litter and burn leaf which pollute our environment. 

Shri Suresh Kumar, Dy. Secretary, DoP&T thanked Shri Virender Singh, Director, NDMC for cooperation in providing plants for the campaign.
