प्रविष्टि तिथि: 31 OCT 2026 6:38PM by PIB Raipur

Akashganga, the Indian Air Force’s renowned skydiving display team, will present a demonstration of precision parachuting during the Chhattisgarh Rajyotsava celebrations in Raipur, marking the state’s formation day.

A team of eight highly trained Parachute Jump Instructors (PJIs), led by Squadron Leader Aaryan Kaintyura, will jump from an AN-32 aircraft of the Paratroopers Training School (PTS), Agra, at an altitude of 8,000 feet above ground level. The display will showcase the skill, coordination and professionalism of the IAF’s military parachutists.

Raised on 10 August 1987 at Air Force Station Agra, Akashganga has built a distinguished legacy spanning nearly four decades. Associated with PTS Agra, the team exemplifies the spirit of adventure and pursuit of excellence that define the Indian Air Force.

Among its notable achievements is a Canopy Relative Work hand-plane formation carrying a 20 × 30-foot National Flag during the Republic Day celebrations in 2019. Such displays demand exceptional parachute-handling skills, precise coordination and complete trust among team members.

Every Akashganga demonstration is backed by rigorous training and meticulous planning, reflecting the IAF’s core values of Mission, Integrity and Excellence.

The team’s participation in Chhattisgarh Rajyotsava will offer spectators an opportunity to witness military skydiving at close quarters, inspire young people to explore careers in the Armed Forces and strengthen the bond between the Indian Air Force and the people of Chhattisgarh.
