A meeting of the Gujarat State-Level Census Coordination Committee (SLCCC) was held today under the chairmanship of Shri M. K. Das, IAS, Chief Secretary, Government of Gujarat, to review the preparedness and operational framework for Phase-II (Population Enumeration) of Census 2027.

Shri Sujal J. Mayatra, IAS, Director of Census Operations, Gujarat, acting as the Convenor of the committee, delivered a comprehensive PowerPoint presentation. The presentation outlined the overall scope, key operational aspects, tentative activity calendar, and the digital features and innovations being integrated into the upcoming Phase-II enumeration process.

Addressing the committee, Chief Secretary Shri M. K. Das directed all concerned state government departments and agencies to ensure seamless coordination and strict adherence to timelines. He emphasized that all targets and milestone deliverables associated with Phase-II of Census 2027 must be executed smoothly, efficiently, and within the stipulated timeframe across the state.
