Shri Sudhansh Pant, Secretary, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment and Chairman, Development and Welfare Board for De-notified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Communities (DWBDNC), will administer the oath of office to Shri Narayan Dewasi and Shri Swaroop Singh Banjara, the newly appointed Members of the Governing Body of the Board, in the National Capital tomorrow.

Shri Narayan Dewasi and Shri Swaroop Singh Banjara have been appointed as Members of the Governing Body of DWBDNC by the Department of Social Justice & Empowerment, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, for a tenure of three years from the date of joining or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Shri Narayan Dewasi assumed charge on 25 September 2026, while Shri Swaroop Singh Banjara assumed charge on 17 September 2026.

The Development and Welfare Board for De-notified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Communities (DWBDNC) works towards addressing the welfare and development concerns of these communities and supporting initiatives aimed at their socio-economic development and empowerment.

The oath-taking ceremony will mark the formal commencement of responsibilities by the newly appointed Members and will further strengthen the Governing Body of DWBDNC in carrying forward its mandate and advancing initiatives for the welfare, socio-economic development and empowerment of De-notified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Communities.
