Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, Minister of State(I/C) for Law and Justice graced the occasion of the Golden Jubilee of the Official Languages Wing of the Legislative Department on 01.10.2026 and released the commemorative book titled “RAJBHASHA KHAND KI SVARNIM YATRA” (राजभाषा खंड की स्वर्णिम यात्रा)  in the programme held at Conference Room 24000/H, Kartavya Bhawan-2, New Delhi.

The book chronicles the 50-year journey, achievements and significant milestones of the Official Languages Wing of the Legislative Department and highlights its important contribution towards the promotion and progressive use of Hindi as the Official Language in the legislative domain.  It also reflects the institutional efforts made over the years for facilitating the use   of the Hindi in legislative work making it citizen centric and for strengthening the bilingual character of legislative drafting and related activities.

Shri Meghwal congratulated Shri Rajiv Mani, Secretary, Legislative Department and Officials on completion of five decades of dedicated service and appreciated the efforts made by the Official Languages Wing in preserving and promoting the rich linguistic heritage while ensuring that legislative work is carried out with utmost precision, clarity and consistency in both Hindi and English.

The event was also attended by the retired officers of the Official Languages Wing Legislative Department and they were felicitated by Shri Meghwal.
